$3.02 Conimex Trassie Oedang (Shrimp Paste) 30g Conimex Trassi: Shrimp paste, also known as blachan, is used in the cooking of Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. It is made from prawns or shrimps that have been dried, salted and pounded. Sold in block form, it has a very pungent odour and, when opened, should be wrapped in plastic, sealed in an airtight container and stored in the refrigerator or freezer (this is to reduce the smell as the paste itself does not require refrigeration.)
